Top School Fundraiser Ideas For The Summer

Summer is a great time to take advantage of the beautiful weather while hosting a fun event to help raise money for your school. There are many ways you can do this, but here are our top three fundraiser ideas for the summer!

1.) Fun Run/Walk

Fun runs are great because they offer families the opportunity to get outside and be active.  It is always nice to help out a great cause like the local schools, but to be able to do it in a healthy way make us love it even more!

Consider bringing out local vendor to help at the event. For example, invite a representative from a local grocery store to come out and showcase their business. You can give them the space for free if they provide waters or a food snack for the participants. Also invite out, for example, sports therapy companies to give our free massages to the participants upon completion.

Anything you can do to make the event more than just the run/walk will help attract others that might not be participating, but still there to support!

2.) Summer Carnival

Summer carnivals are another awesome way to raise money. Everyone remembers going to their local town carnival each summer; riding the Ferris Wheel and eating too much cotton candy. Why not make it an event for the school and raise money while doing it?

You can bring in the experts for this one. There are companies out there that have all of the equipment and can bring it on-site for you. You just need to do the promoting to get people to attend.

3.) Car Wash

Summer can get super hot so a great way to be outside and help out the school is to host a car wash. There is very minimal cost involved in hosting a car wash – you just need to pay for the soap, sponges and buckets. Consider hosting it on the school grounds so you have a safe place for the kids to be. It is also a great way to showcase exactly where the money is going to go!
